Patching & Place
In this two-day workshop we will explore the relevance of cloth to place. Using cyanotype printing, found ephemera and patchwork techniques we will explore Saltaire’s cloth-making heritage to create a small mixed-media textile piece, which could be a finished artwork or the beginnings of a larger project.
21st & 22nd October 2017 (10am - 4pm)
£120 including materials

Inspiration from Historical Textiles
During this two day workshop cyanotype blueprints on textile will be combined with hand embroidery to create individual prints. Be inspired by some of Hannah’s collection of antique garments and textiles or bring along your own treasured items to spark creativity. By the end of the workshop you will take away an embellished art print.
11th & 12th November 2017 (10am-4pm)
£120 including materials

Repair & Disrepair
In this workshop we will explore decorative (not necessarily practical!) methods to distress and mend textiles for your art projects. Techniques include devoré, surface darning and patching. You will take away a selection of experimental sample pieces.
16th December 2017 (10am - 4pm)
£65 including materials
